Clear repair pricing starts with an honest scope.
GNM does not use misleading instant calculators for hidden damage. We assess what is known, identify the uncertainties and provide a written quote once the repair can be properly scoped.
How pricing works
Some repairs can be priced from photos. Others need opening-up or specialist input.
A straightforward GIB patch or small deck-board repair may be clear from measurements and photographs. A leaking shower, rotten floor, cladding fault or roof leak often contains hidden conditions that must be assessed before a reliable permanent-repair price is possible.
What affects the quote
| Repair type | Main cost drivers | Likely first step |
|---|---|---|
| GIB, plastering & painting | Patch size, texture, drying time, access and how much surface needs repainting | Photos and measurements may be enough |
| Water-damaged flooring | Leak duration, affected floor area, framing damage and floor-covering reinstatement | Usually a site assessment |
| Hot-water cylinder leak | Cylinder type, access, plumbing requirements and water damage around or below it | Urgent triage plus licensed-plumber input |
| Deck repairs | Timber match, number of boards, fixings, height and supporting-structure condition | Photos first; visit if framing is involved |
| Cladding or roofing | Access, leak investigation, materials, flashings, design and consent requirements | Site assessment is normally required |
| Healthy Homes work | Assessment findings, property construction and specialist systems required | Send the report or failed-item list |
What does “quote within 24 hours” mean?
Once the work has been assessed and the information needed to price it is available, GNM aims to return the written quote within 24 hours. Complex work may require supplier or specialist pricing first; we will tell you if that applies.
